Based in BC, I am hoping to offer news, notes, and a little insight into drag racing on the left coast. Having first got the bug back in the mid 70's at England's Santa Pod Raceway, I was a regular visitor to the UK drag scene into the early 80's. After serving an apprenticeship, however, my career directed me to road racing and rallying world where I got to experience many forms of auto sport as a fabricator/mechanic. Spanning more than ten years, I worked for teams in world rallying, sports car and single seater racing, all the way to Formula 1. Then in 1997, I made the move to BC, settling into a more regular life and an 8 to 5 job. It was not too long before I started to get back to my interests from my earlier years, first of all behind a camera and then searching out my local dragstrip at Mission Raceway Park (MRP). Having been a regular at MRP for the last seven years, I have gotten to know people behind the scenes, behind the wheels and behind the bleachers. Through those great friendships I now have new friends and strong relationships up and down the West Coast. I will try and keep you up to date with Canuck antics out here on the left, as I follow the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series around the North West for as much Div.6 action as I can. Also, I hope to give you a real taste for Canadian action at the BC tracks and will hopefully let you get to know some of our characters that are the backbone of this great sport.
